Joey Vrooman

Personal Background

Joey Vrooman was born into a family of four with two hard working parents. Joey’s family honors hard work and sports. He greatly appreciates the foundation they instilled. Joey is married to Cori Vrooman, and they have two kids.  Joey’s hobbies are camping with family, going to the park with the kiddos, and playing basketball.

Educational Background

After high school, Joey became a student-athlete at the University of Mary. He completed 6 (2012-2017) years of school and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (2016) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (2017). He played football for 5 years where he learned a lot about teamwork, accountability, and work ethic. During his final year of school, he started sitting for his Certified Public Accounting exams. Joey passed all four exams and became a CPA in the state of North Dakota in October of 2018.

Professional Experience

Joey got his initial experience in accounting by job shadowing his aunt during high school. His aunt has owned a CPA firm in his hometown for 33+ years and has been an excellent resource for him. He then had an internship at BNI Coal, now known as BNI Energy. Joey worked for two summers and parts of the year while going to school. After he finished his undergrad, he became full-time at Pride Incorporated as an accountant. He worked full-time in this position for two years before taking a job at Casey Peterson, Ltd., a medium-sized public accounting firm. Joey spent three years working in the tax department as well as a few other miscellaneous ventures. Joey helped with a lot of automation projects and high-level accounting position turnovers. He now is the owner of Padgett Bismarck, an independently owned franchise out of Bismarck, North Dakota.

Jodi Stenberg

Personal Background

Jodi is originally from Valley City, ND and had moved to the Bismarck area in 2015. Jodi resides in Bismarck with her husband, Mark, and their six children. In her spare time, she enjoys working on craft projects, enjoying family vacations in the summer, spending time with family and friends, and walks with their family dog.

Educational Background

She is currently working on her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and is intending to graduate in August 2021. Immediately after graduation, she will continue to further her knowledge and work experience by obtaining her CPA license.

Professional Experience

Prior to working at Padgett Bismarck, she lived in West Fargo where she worked as an accountant for over 8 years at Thomas. L. Elliott, PC (now known as Taxman). Jodi has experience in preparing business financials, business tax returns, auditing of retirement plans, reviewing financial statements of both for-profit and non-profit companies, and the general operations of a business. Jodi has a passion for accounting and meeting the financial needs of the company’s clients.
